Each person, above all when more vulnerable, must be given the opportunity to live their life to the full through a safe, inclusive and collaborative workplace, whose “glue” is trust and individual value.

The value of each individual

Teddy building block is the Dream of Vittorio Tadei: inclusion and dedication to help others. The Company shall not discriminate but on the contrary shall give an opportunity and guarantee dignity through work to the people who cannot find an employment due to critical barriers they are subject to.

GOAL

Drafting and spreading the message and the fair employment and inclusion practices throughout the entire Teddy ecosystem.

As already set out in the vision of our founder, diversity is an asset and it is essential to support each other and in particular it is important that the so-called “normal” people help those more vulnerable to live a normal life and to be proud of themselves. We strongly believe also in a mutual and constructive exchange of ideas: we foster dialogue and encourage everyone to share their doubts, news and achievements also through our corporate social network, where we are all active, from the CEO to the members of the sales staff in the most distant store in the world.
We built an environment where everyone can be themselves, with their own history and skills that may help them to write their own future, growing up inside Teddy. We therefore try to guarantee transparency and fairness in every working process, respecting any difference in terms of nationality, age, identity, religion, sexual orientation, (dis)ability.

In order to build a sound and lasting business and face everyday challenges and those to come, training starts since you set foot in the Company and you never stop learning, at any level, no matter seniority.

GOAL

Officially integrating and increasing personal, vertical and soft skill training opportunities in work experiences for all our collaborators.

There are many and different opportunities of professional growth for Teddy people, to make grow both those who develop the products of our brands and our collaborators working in the stores. Our fashion school and training centre guarantee a double Training, both theory and practice, with dedicated programs. We dedicate 150,000 hours every year to Training on any aspect of our work, in order to keep our skills constantly updated.
Our attention to training allows for a policy fostering job promotions and internal recruitment through the development of personal and professional growth plans. Our present and future managers are “raised” within the Company thanks to our corporate business school, Teddy 500, which aims at making people grow adapting corporate culture and values to present situation in order to make the company last for 500 years.

We have launched several wellbeing initiatives and ensure the actions undertaken are being developed in the right way by submitting internal surveys whose aim is to monitor employee satisfaction and take any corrective action that may be required to make workplace life and environment better in all our branches and stores.
Teddy is close to its collaborators also in everyday life, taking care of the wellbeing of their families too. We take care of our children throughout their childhood, as they are the future and the most precious thing we have: from the nursery inside corporate facilities to after-school tutoring, we stay close to parents and we will do it also with dedicated meetings on parenting.
