Governance

Our vision

We are aware there is a need for a change in perspective in the way of doing business and for a governance system that takes into account social and environmental impacts, with the same care and attention we usually have in our everyday business.
We started a journey to promote a structured, continuous improvement, which will be left as legacy to the future generations of Teddy collaborators, in order to work in an increasingly more responsible, ethical and transparent way.

Where we are
2021
  • We developed a Multi-year Strategic Plan with a main time frame to 2025.
2022

In 2022 we decided to:

  • expand our sustainability department, which today includes 8 people working all over the world and exclusively on the goal, supported by 8 work groups that are in charge of designing and developing new net-positive actions;
  • measure the positive contribution given by Teddy to the most important Sustainable Development Goals in our industry using the tool SDG Action Manager.
2023
  • We drafted the ESG policy, structured on the pillars that are the distinctive features of our Everyone Can Manifesto.
Future goals
  • We will define positions of responsibility, whose goals will be connected to our environmental and social mission, and the relevant monitoring system.
2021

Stakeholder engagement and Transparency

Our vision

We are not an isolated entity: we are deeply connected to the biosphere and to all the people, from employees to local and global communities.
In order create a long-term and shared wealth going beyond the financial aspect, it is essential to build an enduring partnership based on mutual trust.
“Work with Teddy and not for Teddy” is, in a nutshell, the approach driving the relationships with our stakeholders as to be able to discuss and interact in a deeper way, in the interest of all.

In 2022 we managed to:

  • map our ecosystem to identify our stakeholders and the drivers guiding the business relationship with each of them;
  • develop Teddy first materiality matrix thanks to the engagement of our main stakeholders.
Future goals

We plan to:

  • strengthen partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders, engaging them on sustainability themes in an increasingly intentional way;
  • increase the Transparency level of Teddy Group and of our value chain through the Global Environment Program and the implementation of the Higg Index. The transparency in the production and distribution chain will make it possible to meet the new regulations about Digital Product Passport, Due Diligence and Eco-design.
